Avelar Advogados, a law firm specializing in criminal law, has opened a branch of its firm in Brasília. The founding partner, Leonardo Magalhães Avelar, explains the main reasons for the initiative: “opening our office in the federal capital has two main pillars: legal and legislative.
Firstly, the high number of cases sponsored by the firm in the Superior Courts requires a more constant physical presence in the Superior Court of Justice and the Supreme Federal Court. In addition, the firm actively participates in the legal discussions of the Legislative Branch, through institutional technical notes presented in criminal law bills, representing business associations and institutes.”
Lawyer Bruno Sarrubbo Sll also work on the activities of the branch in Brasília. Avelar Advogados is a law firm specialized in corporate criminal law, providing services in the areas of litigation, consulting and criminal compliance.
